I grew up in Ramona, SD where I graduated from Oldham-Ramona High School in 1995. From there, I attended Dakota State University where I got a bachelor's degree in Business Education and an Associate's Degree in Business Management in December of 1999. After graduating from DSU, I spent one semester teaching business/computer classes in Wagner, SD starting in January of 2000. Beginning in the fall of 2000, I began teaching in Lake Preston, SD where I am still currently teaching. At Lake Preston, I have taught JH/HS computers, business, psychology, and sociology classes. During my time at Lake Preston, I have coached cross country, track, and basketball. I am currently the head boy's basketball and JH track coach. Over the years, I have moved into a leadership role in technology at the school. I spend time helping the technology coordinator as much as possible.
I currently live with my family in Ramona. My wife, Maren, and I have been married since 2005. Maren teaches HS English to the Hutterite colonies of South Dakota for the Chester Area Cyberschool. We have two boys--Caleb (2) and Nolan (8 months).
